Who we are
Our interest in the fascinating world of bees began in 1980. The work that we did with the bees captivated us to such an extent that we began to consider transforming this passion into a business activity.
The first step was to specialize in the beekeeping industry by taking several courses, including the expert beekeeper course at the National Institution of Beekeeping in Bologna.
This led to the establishment of the first of two individual companies, l’Az. Agricola Claudio Marzona, followed later by the company founded by his brother, Adriano.
The union of these individual companies, their related knowledge, and nearly twenty years of experience resulted, in 1998, in the creation of Az. Agr. F.lli Marzona
In the year 2000, with considerable economic investment, the site where the company resides today was established, along with its new laboratories.
Since the begging, respect for tradition and nature has been the guiding principle of our work.
Even though the company uses all the modern technology available, we take special care in the production process to ensure that the honey reaches the customer in the same pristine condition as the bees store it.
With over 1,200 hives, beekeeping is currently our primary sector. Thanks to the nomadic nature of the bees, we take full advantage of the nectar-producing plants in the provinces of Udine and Pordenone. We produce high-quality honey, thanks to the vast diversity of our territory, which stretches from the sea to the mountains—areas that remain untouched by large industries and intensive farming.
Currently, our main product is honey, which we combine with the sale of other hive products such as pollen, propolis, and beeswax (transformed into candles and other decorative objects).
